SAN ANTONIO — When the Texas heat keeps you from enjoying the outdoors, Whole Earth Provision Co. is making it easy to embrace adventure indoors. On Saturday, Sept. 20, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the store at Alamo Quarry Market will host “Bring the Outdoors In,” a family-friendly event designed to pack all the fun of nature into a cool, air-conditioned space.
Exotic Animals, Plants, and More
Once In A Wild will set up an interactive education station featuring 10 exotic animals for guests to meet up close. Attendants will share lessons on conservation and animal care while introducing visitors to creatures such as a Flemish Giant rabbit, African hedgehog, Red Foot tortoise, Blue Tongue skink, ball python, cockatiel, and even a pink toe tarantula.
For plant lovers, The Plant Project will bring their traveling greenhouse, “Lily,” where guests can learn how to pot their own greenery and take a potted plant home — a simple way to add fresh life indoors.
Refreshments and Fun
An on-site TABC-certified bartender will be shaking up fresh juice margaritas crafted with Desert Door Sotol and Twisted Alchemy Cold-Pressed Juice. Kids can cool off with refreshing lemonade.
Throughout the event, guests can also look forward to raffles, giveaways, and brand pop-ups from outdoor favorites like Merrell and Outdoor Research. Prizes include gift cards, outdoor gear, and exclusive Whole Earth goodies — no purchase necessary.

Coming Up Next: Sip & Shop Fall Wine Walk
If you can’t make it on Sept. 20, Whole Earth has more in store. On Wednesday, Sept. 24, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., the shop will join Alamo Quarry Market’s Sip & Shop Fall Wine Walk. Guests can enjoy live music, tastings of wine and beer, and exclusive shopping deals.
As part of the evening, Whole Earth will debut its new “Wouldn’t You Like to Know Wednesdays” series with a special talk by Koby Crooks of The Consumer Travel Clinic. With over 30 years of adventure travel experience across five continents, Crooks will share expert advice on packing smarter, navigating airline baggage rules, and staying safe and healthy while on the go.
Following the clinic, attendees are invited to explore seasonal gear and new arrivals during private shopping hours. The event is also free and open to the public.
