Whataburger Launches Relief Efforts to Support Texas Hill Country Flood Recovery
SAN ANTONIO, TX — July 9, 2025 — In response to the devastating floods that swept through the Texas Hill Country over the Fourth of July weekend, Whataburger has launched a series of relief initiatives to aid impacted communities and support long-term recovery.
The catastrophic flooding has left a trail of destruction, displacing families, damaging homes, and claiming lives across the region. As communities begin the difficult journey of recovery, Whataburger has announced a $100,000 donation to local relief organizations working on the ground to provide urgent assistance.
“Our hearts are with everyone affected by the Kerrville flooding,” said Debbie Stroud, CEO of Whataburger. “The loss is deeply felt, but so is our gratitude for the first responders, volunteers, and neighbors showing extraordinary strength and compassion. To further support relief efforts, Whataburger will also donate 100% of the purchase price (before tax) from the sale of its first Commemorative Cup collection to flood recovery. The limited-edition $2 cups will be available from July 9 through July 31 at participating locations across Whataburger’s 17-state footprint. Every dollar raised will go toward disaster response, mental health support, and rebuilding efforts.
