SAN ANTONIO (July 24, 2025) – Get ready to unwrap a milestone in Texas burger history. Whataburger is turning 75 and pulling out all the stops for National Whataburger Day on August 8, with a sizzling lineup of fan perks, throwback deals, and hometown pride.

The headliner? A classic #1 Whataburger for just 75 cents, available exclusively to Whataburger Rewards members from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on August 8. The digital-only offer is redeemable online or through the Whataburger App, with customizations and add-ons available at an additional cost. Each Rewards account is limited to one redemption.

But that’s just the beginning.

As part of its ongoing 75th anniversary celebration, Whataburger is releasing the second wave of limited-edition commemorative cups. The 32-ounce collector’s series includes:

  • A 75th table tent-inspired design (debuting August 5)

  • A silver-striped anniversary cup (August 12)

  • A classic A-frame tribute cup (August 19)

The cups are available at select restaurants and online at Whatastore.com, with additional collections planned for fall and winter.

Back where it all started in Corpus Christi, Whataburger is throwing a birthday bash worthy of its Texas-sized legacy. Fans are invited to “Orange Out” night at Whataburger Field (734 E. Port Ave.), where the Corpus Christi Hooks will take the field as the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits in a spirited showdown against the Tulsa Drillers at 7:05 p.m. on August 8.

The night features:

  • Special guests tossing the first pitch

  • A limited-edition Whataguy mask for the first 1,500 fans

  • A Whataguy cape for the first 5,000 fans

  • A free Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit coupon for every guest at the end of the game

  • And a spectacular orange fireworks show to cap off the celebration

“Whataburger’s story has always been one about people—the fans who’ve made us part of their everyday moments, the Family Members who serve every meal with care and pride, and the communities that have welcomed us like family for 75 years,” said Whataburger President and CEO Debbie Stroud. “This anniversary is our way of saying thank you. Thank you for your trust, your loyalty, and for letting us be part of your table.”

Since the start of 2025, Whataburger has honored its roots with revived fan-favorite menu items from the WhataVault, the debut of its craft beverage line including the Prickly Pear Raspberry Whatafresher™, and heartfelt stories from lifelong fans through the “75 Stories for 75 Years” campaign.

And with more celebrations on the way, one thing is certain — this Texas icon is just getting started.
