Whataburger Celebrates 75 Years in 2025 by Bringing Back Fan-Favorites and Introducing Exciting New Creations

SAN ANTONIO, TX (January 2, 2025) – Whataburger is ringing in its diamond anniversary in style, celebrating 75 years of iconic flavors, loyal fans, and unforgettable memories. Since Harmon Dobson flipped the first five-inch Whataburger in Corpus Christi in 1950, the orange-and-white brand has been a staple in the hearts and stomachs of Texans and burger lovers nationwide.

In honor of this milestone, Whataburger is unlocking the WhataVault to reintroduce fan-favorite menu items, launching exciting new eats, and rolling out a year packed with exclusive deals, collaborations, and surprises.

Legends Return: The Monterey Melt and Chicken Fajita Taco

Starting Tuesday, January 7, Whataburger is bringing back two of its most beloved menu items:

• Monterey Melt: Featuring two 100% beef patties topped with Monterey Jack and American cheeses, grilled onions, and peppers, finished with signature Jalapeño Ranch. This melty masterpiece, last seen in 2022, makes a triumphant comeback to satisfy nostalgic cravings.
• Chicken Fajita Taco: A soft flour tortilla filled with grilled chicken, seared onions, poblano and red peppers, and optional add-ons like Monterey Jack cheese, jalapeños, and avocado. This fiesta-worthy favorite is only here for a limited time, so grab it before it disappears again.

New Menu Highlights: Mexican Hot Chocolate Coffee & Shake

To sweeten the celebration, Whataburger is introducing the Mexican Hot Chocolate Coffee and Mexican Hot Chocolate Shake:

• Mexican Hot Chocolate Coffee: A warm, rich blend of chocolate and cinnamon spice, perfect for your morning pick-me-up.
• Mexican Hot Chocolate Shake: A creamy dessert experience with cinnamon-sugar flavors, ideal for ending your day on a sweet note.
