SAN ANTONIO (Dec. 18, 2025) – Some Whataburger favorites are officially making a comeback. Following strong fan demand, the Monterey Melt and Chicken Fajita Taco will return to participating Whataburger locations beginning Dec. 30, 2025, for a limited time.

The Monterey Melt features two 100% beef patties layered with Monterey Jack and American cheeses, grilled onions and peppers, and finished with Whataburger’s signature Jalapeño Ranch sauce.

The returning Chicken Fajita Taco includes grilled chicken breast served in a soft flour tortilla and topped with seared onions, poblano and red peppers, offering a smoky and savory flavor profile.

“The Monterey Melt and Chicken Fajita Taco have some of the most loyal followers out there,” said Scott Hudler, Whataburger Chief Marketing Officer. “We’re thrilled to kick off the new year by letting fans enjoy their tried-and-true favorites, crafted exactly the way they remember.”

In addition to the returning classics, Whataburger is introducing the Big Ranch Wrap, a new on-the-go option featuring a crispy chicken strip, fresh lettuce, tomato, American cheese, and creamy buttermilk ranch wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. The Big Ranch Wrap will be available for $3 entrée only, with combo options available at participating locations.
