February is National Hot Breakfast Month, and Whataburger is kicking it off with a sweet and savory celebration alongside Lainey Wilson, a 2026 GRAMMY nominee and longtime fan of the brand.
The Texas-born restaurant chain has officially crowned Wednesday, Feb. 4, as National Whataburger Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit Day, giving one of its most beloved menu items a holiday of its own. To mark the occasion, fans can score a FREE Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. (or 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., depending on store hours) at participating locations nationwide.
The offer is available in-store, at the drive-thru, and through online orders placed via the Whataburger app or website. No purchase is required, and the deal is limited to one biscuit per person.
A fan favorite for decades, the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit features a crispy, all-white meat chicken strip served inside a warm buttermilk biscuit and topped with Whataburger’s signature Honey Butter sauce. What began as a breakfast staple has grown into a cult classic, beloved by early risers and late-night diners alike.
“If you know me, you know I don’t need much of an excuse to celebrate a Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit,” Wilson said. “It’s about time it got a moment of its own. Whataburger has been part of so many moments in my life, and this biscuit has seen me through early mornings and long nights more times than I can count.”
The celebration builds on the success of a similar promotion in 2025, when Whataburger and Wilson surprised fans with free biscuits during breakfast hours, drawing large crowds and overwhelming demand. For 2026, the promotion expands to include online orders, making participation easier than ever.
