Walmart to open drive-thru testing facility in San Antonio
The Walmart at 8923 W. Military Drive will start COVID-19 testing in the parking lot of the store on Saturday. The appointment only self nasal swab testing will be following the CDC eligibility guidelines to those experiencing symptoms. Trained medical officials will monitor you while you take your own sample and then place it in the drop box while exiting the site.
Walmart states that the longest you may have to wait for the results is an average of two days. There is no out of pocket costs for the test and you can remain in the car while it is done.
