SAN ANTONIO, TX — Vista Brewing announced this week that it will be closing the doors of its San Antonio tap room after three and a half years of serving craft beers, wines, and locally inspired meals. The brewery’s final day of service at its 125 Lamar Street location will be Sunday, January 5.
According to a statement released by Vista Brewing, the decision comes with a “heavy heart,” as the company acknowledged the community support and camaraderie it has experienced in San Antonio. However, after careful consideration, the leadership team determined that it was not the right time to continue operations in the city.
Vista Brewing’s San Antonio tap room has earned a reputation for its world-class offerings and exceptional hospitality. The tap room’s staff, lauded by the company as a dedicated team delivering a top-notch experience, will continue to serve through the final weeks. The venue will offer its usual weekly specials and happy hours right up until closing day, inviting patrons to enjoy a last few rounds of Vista’s brews, a glass of wine, and a bite to eat while raising a glass to the hardworking team.
In its announcement, Vista Brewing thanked the San Antonio community for its “fun and friendship” over the past three and a half years. The company also encouraged locals to continue supporting area craft breweries and independently owned restaurants. Vista’s headquarters and main brewery in Driftwood, Texas, will remain open, welcoming visitors who wish to continue enjoying the brand’s selection of artisanal beers.
While the San Antonio tap room’s closure marks the end of a chapter, Vista Brewing’s leadership expressed hope that the spirit of local support and craft appreciation cultivated in the city will live on.
