A downtown New Braunfels speakeasy is raising the stakes on after-work drinks with a limited-time happy hour that puts chance front and center.

Sidecar at Prince Solms Inn has introduced High Stakes Happy Hour, a new promotion running Tuesday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. that gives guests the opportunity to have their entire tab comped with a single roll of the dice.

During the promotion, parties of 10 guests or fewer receive the speakeasy’s signature “Dice Roll” box when their check is presented. One guest is selected to roll the die. If the roll lands on a six, the entire tab is covered by the house. Guests have 60 seconds to roll once the box is delivered, and all rolls must take place before 6 p.m. to qualify.

“We’re thrilled to roll out this limited-time experience,” said Terry and Celina Muckenfuss. “It’s our way of shaking things up and giving the New Braunfels community a happy hour unlike any other. One that’s exciting, original, and truly memorable.”

Standard promotion guidelines apply. Additional offers cannot be combined with High Stakes Happy Hour, and a 20 percent automatic gratuity based on the original check total is applied to all winning tabs. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash.

Alongside the new dice-driven experience, Sidecar continues to offer its regular happy hour menu, featuring discounted classic cocktails, draft beers, and wines. That standard happy hour runs Tuesday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
