SAN ANTONIO, TX (August 1, 2025) — As progress continues on the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is alerting drivers of several weekend closures from Friday, August 1 through Monday, August 4, to allow for critical pavement and bridge construction work in the Hausman Road to I-10 interchange area.
Motorists are urged to plan ahead, follow detour signage, and use caution as law enforcement will be on site to help direct traffic through affected intersections.
Closure Schedule and Details
Weekend Full Closure
When: 9 p.m. Friday, August 1 – Noon Saturday, August 2
Where:

Loop 1604 eastbound (EB) mainlanes between the Hausman Road exit ramp and the Kyle Seale Parkway entrance ramp
Detour: Traffic will exit at Hausman Road and use the Loop 1604 EB frontage road to navigate through intersections at Hausman and Kyle Seale Parkway before re-entering the mainlanes.
Weekend Nightly Closures

WB Mainlanes to I-10 EB: Exit at Lockhill Selma, continue through I-10 via frontage road, then use La Cantera Parkway turnaround to reach I-10 EB.

I-10 EB to Loop 1604 EB: Detour via Loop 1604 WB and La Cantera Parkway turnaround to access EB lanes.

Loop 1604 WB to I-10 EB/WB: Follow WB detour west of I-10, then use La Cantera turnaround. Access I-10 via the appropriate ramp.

I-10 EB Frontage Road: Enter I-10 EB mainlanes after La Cantera Parkway and rejoin at Exit 557.
TxDOT Reminder
All closures are weather permitting, and motorists are encouraged to allow extra travel time, use alternate routes, and observe all detour signage and directions from law enforcement officers during the closure windows.
