Two area fishing spots to be stocked with rainbow trout

Grab your fishing gear because the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission will be stocking neighborhood fishin’ lakes with the cold loving rainbow trout.

Two local spots will be replenished with rainbow trout at Millers Pond (6075 Old Pearsall Rd.) and at Southside Lions Park (3100 Hiawatha) every two weeks.

According to a press release from TPWC, a total of 322,568 of rainbow trout will be stocked throughout the state of Texas at 170 locations from November 30th through the beginning of March.

Kids 16 and under can fish for free but adults over 16 need a fishing license.
