Tony Parker’s jersey to be retired

According to a report from French news outlet LeParisien Tony Parker’s number 9 jersey will be retired and hung in the rafters at the AT&T Center on November 11th after the Spurs take on the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Spurs haven’t yet made an official announcement on Parker’s retirement.

Tony Parker will be the tenth jersey to hit retirement. Tony joins his colleagues Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili in retirement this Summer saying that he couldn’t play at a high level anymore.

Parker had played 17 seasons with the Spurs winning four of the five championships. The French born point guard made six All-Star appearances and was the 2007 NBA Finals MVP.
