Tip Top Cafe is back in business after month long hiatus

A month ago, De  Wese’s Tip Top Cafe at 2814 Fredericksburg Rd. had closed their doors due to the economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

The local iconic eatery fired up the oil and started cooking their famous chicken fried steak to-go. Customers are happy to see them back in action. People who want to get a hot meal can call up 210-732-0191 to place an order. They’ll arrive at the restaurant, park and wait for their order to come out curbside.

The family business is offering a 50% discount to those who can identify they’re first responders, healthcare workers and grocery store employees.

Although on a smaller menu, the cafe still will be serving up favorites such as the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, hamburgers with fries or their onion rings and catfish with a serving of veggies.

You’ll be able to place your order between 11 a.m. till 7 p.m.
