The Ultimate National Burger Day Guide to San Antonio and New Braunfels
National Burger Day is returning on Thursday, May 28, and restaurants across San Antonio and New Braunfels are stacking up creative takes on the all-American classic.
From upscale smash burgers and Wagyu patties to Mexican-inspired creations loaded with bold flavor, local eateries are giving burger lovers plenty of reasons to celebrate the one-day-only food holiday.
Muck & Fuss
Located in downtown New Braunfels, Muck & Fuss is marking National Burger Day with double loyalty points on all burger purchases.
The restaurant is known for its chef-driven lineup of craft burgers featuring 100% Wagyu beef patties and a wide variety of toppings and flavor combinations. Guests can choose from 16 burger options, each served with Cajun fries, salad, or Asian slaw.
Vegetarian guests can also swap in an Impossible patty for an additional charge, making the celebration accessible to a variety of diners.
Clementine
Castle Hills favorite Clementine is offering an elevated twist on the traditional smash burger with a fork-and-knife creation crafted by Chef John Russ.
The burger starts with ground brisket sourced from a local Texas barbecue restaurant and is layered with New York cheddar, sherried caramelized onions, and served on a house-made brioche bun.
Finished with a mushroom demi-glace, the dish delivers a French dip-inspired flavor profile, with guests also having the option to add freshly shaved truffles for an extra indulgent touch.
Rosario’s ComidaMex & Bar
Rosario’s is bringing a contemporary Mexican spin to National Burger Day with its signature Mexican Hamburger.
Created by Executive Chef Richard Pichon, the burger is stuffed with a bean and cheese chalupa and topped with guacamole and chipotle mayo for a flavorful fusion of classic comfort food and Tex-Mex flair.
Guests can also pair their burger with one of the restaurant’s signature margaritas to kick off the holiday weekend early.
Maverick Texas Brasserie
At Maverick Texas Brasserie, French technique meets Texas flavors with the restaurant’s Maverick Burger.
Executive Chef Edward Ebert prepares the burger using certified Angus beef and layers it with béarnaise sauce, caramelized onions, and vine-ripened tomatoes.
The upscale burger reflects the restaurant’s French-inspired culinary style while still delivering the hearty flavors burger fans expect for National Burger Day.
