So it’s that time of year to celebrate freedom with fireworks. Now if you’re the do it yourself type and want to control the pyrotechnics, you may want to reconsider if it’s worth it.
Shooting off fireworks inside the county and the city is illegal and with the burn ban in full effect is not a laughing matter. In fact Bexar County Commissioners Court had forced the suspension of sale of any rockets with sticks, missiles, missiles with fins and any other firework that could stay off starting a field fire somewhere.
“With conditions as dry as they are, I urge the public to please exercise extreme caution when setting off fireworks. The safest way to enjoy fireworks is to watch a public display put on by professionals.

Remember, if you end up shooting fireworks and set someone’s home or grass on fire, you can be charged for arson.
