300 Alamo Plaza, San Antonio, Texas 78205
Founded in the 18th Century by Roman Catholic missionaries that is now called San Antonio, Texas, this Spanish mission and fortress compound has rich history. If walls could talk, we would have endless stories.
This famous building was the site of the 1836 battle between Texas revolutionary forces led by Davy Crockett and Jim Bowie and the Mexican army led by Antonio López de Santa Anna Pérez de Lebrón or better known as Santa Anna.
The name “Alamo” was coined after Mexico had claimed its independence from Spain in 1821.
