Are you looking for a new job in the tech industry? Well you’re in luck. On Tuesday, September 18th the San Antonio Tech Job fair will be held at the Jack Guenther Pavilion located at 210 W. Market St. Parking at city garages and lots are free on Tuesday.
There will be over 25 companies looking for potential new hires.
The event begins at 5pm and entry is for those who’dĀ RSVP’d online and walk-in’s are welcome. At 6:45pm, the event will no longer be accepting any people arriving and everything ends at 7pm.
Just be prepared by bringing resumes on paper.
- Be sure to minimize on tech talk with the recruiters.
- Do your due diligence and research the companies ahead of time.
- Make sure that your online presence is good. (That means don’t be posting pictures of you with a bunch of friends at the bar taking shots.)
- Don’t show up in a t-shirt but don’t overdress. In the tech world a nice ironed shirt and slacks would be great at minimal.

- Ask educated questions and not questions like “What do you all do?” Example of a question is: “What is the best advice that you have for someone who wants to work here?” or “What is the interview process like?”
- Make sure that you follow up. Following up is the key of landing the job of your dreams or just letting it slip away. Grab a business card and write a thank you e-mail that stands out.
