SAN ANTONIO, TX — The St. Anthony Hotel is elevating the dining experience with a one-night-only rooftop event that blends fine dining, storytelling, and curated whiskey pairings.
Set for Thursday, April 9, “Whiskey & War Stories” will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the St. Anthony Sky Terrace, offering guests an immersive evening high above downtown San Antonio.
The experience will feature Horse Soldier Bourbon, a brand founded by U.S. Special Forces members known as the “Horse Soldiers,” among the first Americans deployed to Afghanistan following the events of 9/11. The evening will include not only curated whiskey tastings but also a special appearance by one of the original Horse Soldiers, along with a rooftop video presentation designed to bring the story behind the brand to life.
To complement the whiskey selections, a custom three-course menu has been developed by Executive Chefs Leo Davila of Esencia and Anacacho Coffee & Cantina, and Jarrod Mainard of Gallery On the Park and the St. Anthony Club. The menu is crafted to pair with the bourbon offerings, highlighting bold flavors and seasonal ingredients that enhance each pour.
Organizers say the event is designed to merge culinary artistry with storytelling, creating a unique dining atmosphere that goes beyond a traditional tasting experience.
Tickets are priced at $120++ per person and include the three-course dinner, whiskey pairings, gratuity, and valet parking. Reservations are available through Eventbrite.
Located at 300 East Travis Street, The St. Anthony Hotel continues to expand its lineup of elevated experiences, offering guests a blend of history, hospitality, and modern dining in the heart of downtown San Antonio.
