The San Antonio Spurs announced Wednesday that DAZN will become the franchise’s new exclusive direct-to-consumer media partner, giving fans across the Spurs’ home broadcast market access to locally televised games through the streaming service.
Beginning with the 2026-27 season, DAZN will stream all Spurs regular-season games that are not selected exclusively for national broadcast, along with every preseason game and additional team-produced programming.
The Spurs also announced that 22 games will be available free over-the-air through a local broadcast partner, which will be announced at a later date.
“Partnering with DAZN gives Spurs fans an easy and innovative platform to follow Spurs game action and additional behind-the-scenes highlights,” Frank Miceli, chief commercial officer at Spurs Sports & Entertainment, said in the announcement.
Miceli said the partnership will expand access to Spurs basketball and original programming throughout the team’s home broadcast market.
Spurs streaming will cover Central, South and West Texas
The new service will be available throughout the Spurs’ home broadcast market, covering areas across Central, South and West Texas.
Fans will be able to watch through the DAZN app across smart TVs, mobile devices, tablets, streaming players, game consoles and computers.
In addition to live games, DAZN plans to carry Spurs pregame and postgame shows, highlights, behind-the-scenes features and original team programming.
The Spurs will remain responsible for producing the game broadcasts, while DAZN will provide the streaming platform and distribution.
“The San Antonio Spurs are an iconic sports brand with deep roots in their community,” DAZN Group CEO Shay Segev said. “DAZN’s partnership with the Spurs is another important step in our strategy to build the leading entertainment destination for sports fans in the United States.”
How much will Spurs games cost on DAZN?
Fans will have several subscription options when the Spurs service launches in the coming weeks.
The standard Monthly Pass will cost $19.99, while a Season Pass will cost $119.99.
An upgraded Ultimate Tier will also be offered with additional features, including alternate feeds and camera angles and multi-view capabilities. The Ultimate Monthly Pass will cost $24.99, while the Ultimate Season Pass will be $139.99.
The Ultimate Tier will also include a one-time 25% discount code for the Spurs Fan Shop.
Fans will be able to try the service with a free seven-day trial before purchasing a subscription.
Spurs season ticket members will receive 20% off Season Pass subscriptions.
Fans who become Official Spurs Fan Club members by Wednesday, Sept. 9 will also be eligible for an exclusive subscription discount.
Partnership extends beyond Spurs basketball
The agreement won’t be limited to the NBA team.
DAZN will also distribute select Spurs Sports & Entertainment programming, including San Antonio FC matches and Austin Spurs NBA G League games.
Additional discounts and promotions are expected to be announced throughout the season.
The move gives Spurs fans another option for watching the team as sports franchises increasingly turn toward direct-to-consumer streaming services alongside traditional television broadcasts.
For fans who prefer traditional TV, the planned 22 over-the-air Spurs games will provide another way to watch during the upcoming season. Details about the local station and broadcast schedule are expected to be announced later.
