SONIC Sip Trip Brings Free Refreshers to San Antonio
SAN ANTONIO — A wave of flavor is rolling into the Alamo City as SONIC Drive-In introduces its newest mobile experience, the SONIC® Sip Trip, delivering free drinks and refreshing vibes straight to San Antonio neighborhoods beginning April 13.
The newly launched sampling truck will travel across the city, making pop-up appearances at community events, college campuses, and local games. At each stop, guests can enjoy complimentary samples of SONIC’s latest beverage lineup, SONIC® Refreshers—a new drink series designed to keep customers cool, hydrated, and energized.
A New Way to Sip and Stay Refreshed
The SONIC® Refreshers lineup features three fruit-forward flavors, each available in still or sparkling options:
- Strawberry Passion Fruit Refresher — A tropical mix of passion fruit and strawberry pieces, enhanced with electrolytes and a light caffeine boost from green tea
- Mango Peach Refresher — A smooth blend of mango and peach flavors paired with hydrating electrolytes and green tea
- Berry Citrus Refresher — A bright combination of wild berry and blueberry with real lemon, finished with electrolytes and green tea
Each medium-sized drink contains about 45 milligrams of caffeine, offering a lighter, more refreshing alternative to traditional coffee for a midday boost.
Sip Trip Stops Across San Antonio
The SONIC® Sip Trip truck is scheduled to make several stops throughout the city, giving residents multiple opportunities to grab a free sample:
- April 14 — St. Philip’s College (Southwest Campus)
- April 15 — St. Philip’s College (MLK Campus) & Northside Suburban Little League Game
- April 16 — Northwest Vista College
- April 17 — East Central High School Varsity Baseball Game
- April 19 — Northside Suburban Little League Game
The traveling activation aims to bring SONIC’s signature drive-in experience directly into the community, creating a fun and interactive way for locals to discover the new beverages.
