Some weapons are being legalized for self-defense in Texas

Texas House and Senate just voted unanimously on House Bill 446 along with the signature of Governor Greg Abbott making it legal to carry brass knuckles, clubs and kitty key chains on yourself as self-defense.

The bill is removing “knuckles” from a group of banned weapons in the Lone Star state.

Don’t start carrying those items right away because the ban doesn’t lift until September 1, 2019. Currently carrying those items are a misdemeanor punishable for up to one year in jail or a maximum fine of $4,000.
