In support of Black businesses, the owner of Mark’s Outing ( 1624 E. Commerce St) will have an unofficial event starting at 1 p.m. on Martin Luther King Day Monday. The event features food trucks that are spread apart to keep their social distance.
The Food trucks that will be participating and that are Black owned include: Datz It and Datz All, Jive Turkey, WingIt SA, Snack Addiks as well as the Mark’s Outing which is an establishment that will be operating at 50 percent capacity due to the ordnance. Guests can also make their orders to-go.
There will be live entertainment to be enjoyed. They ask that if you come out to the event, that you wear a mask and socially distance from others.
Since the City of San Antonio cancelled the nation’s largest march due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this unofficial event helps honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King.
