SAN ANTONIO, Texas โ€” Six Flags Fiesta Texas is expanding its culinary offerings with the debut of La Cocina de Cobre, a new Mexican-inspired restaurant opening Saturday, June 20, inside the park’s Crackaxle Canyon Steampunk District.

The new dining destination replaces Bubba’s Burgers and represents one of the largest food and beverage investments in the park’s history as Six Flags Fiesta Texas continues to elevate its culinary program.

The opening follows recent investments in the park’s dining experiences, including the addition of an executive chef-led culinary team and the multimillion-dollar transformation of Sangerfest Halle.

“La Cocina de Cobre reflects our commitment to quality, creativity and delivering experiences that feel authentic to San Antonio while still embracing the immersive worlds our guests expect,” said park manager Robert Bustle.

Steampunk Storytelling Meets South Texas Flavor

Located within the park’s immersive Crackaxle Canyon area, La Cocina de Cobre blends steampunk-inspired design with flavors deeply rooted in Mexican and South Texas culinary traditions.

The restaurant’s concept centers around copper, which serves as a thematic connection between the district’s industrial aesthetic and traditional cooking methods commonly found in Mexican kitchens.

Guests will find a menu inspired by familiar regional favorites, including birria, carnitas and flautas, each paired with themed storytelling elements designed to enhance the dining experience.

Summer Season Brings Extended Hours and New Nighttime Entertainment

The summer season also marks the debut of FiestaLuz, a new nighttime drone spectacular featuring more than 200 illuminated drones. The show will initially celebrate America’s 250th anniversary before transitioning after July 4 to highlight the park’s history and preview its upcoming 35th anniversary season in 2027.
