San Antonio, TX – February 26, 2025 – SeaWorld San Antonio has announced the grand opening of Rescue Jr., an all-new interactive, family-friendly adventure zone dedicated to inspiring the next generation of animal advocates through hands-on experiences and immersive attractions. The new area will officially open on March 8, 2025, with a grand opening ceremony scheduled for 11:00 AM. SeaWorld Pass Members will receive an exclusive preview opportunity on March 7.
Rescue Jr. aims to educate and engage children by showcasing SeaWorld’s longstanding commitment to animal rescue, rehabilitation, and conservation. The area will feature multiple attractions designed to provide an entertaining yet educational experience for guests of all ages.

Rescue Jr. offers a variety of attractions designed to provide both entertainment and educational value, including:
- Beach Rescue Racer: A 1,000-foot roller coaster featuring beach jeep-themed cars, offering guests 38 inches and taller the experience of racing to rescue animals in need.
- Ocean Quest Express: A train ride adventure where children 36 inches and taller can engage in an interactive “I Spy” game while learning about sea life.
- Tide Pool Tumble: A ride that simulates the ebb and flow of ocean tides, designed for guests 42 inches and taller.
- Seabird Swing: An exhilarating ride that allows guests 36 inches and taller to soar above the park while learning about seabird habitats.
- Ocean Rescue Carousel: A classic ride suitable for guests of all ages, with children 42 inches and taller permitted to ride independently.
