SAN ANTONIO, Tx. (August 29, 2024) – Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld San Antonio is back and scarier than ever! From haunted happenings to spine-tingling surprises, SeaWorld transforms into the biggest and scariest Halloween event in Texas on select days from Friday, September 13 until October 27. As night falls, guests can immerse themselves in an unforgettable Halloween experience featuring six terrifying haunted houses, eight eerie scare zones (including one all-new!), and a brand-new haunted party zone.
SeaWorld has elevated every element of Howl-O-Scream for 2024, creating an unmatched experience of eerie entertainment, hair-raising shows, and a variety of delectably daring food and drink options. Around every corner, new and enhanced scares await, unsettling even the bravest souls. The frights begin as darkness descends on the park and are included with general SeaWorld admission. Tickets and passes are available at SeaWorld San Antonio Tickets.
New Haunted Zones
This year’s event introduces “Till Death Do Us Party,” an eerie wedding-themed party zone where the celebration takes a chilling turn. With a live band and a ghastly bar serving elixirs for guests aged 21 and up, it’s the perfect spot for an eternal reception. Guests can toast and celebrate the newlyweds—or rather, the newlyDEADS.
Adding to the terror, “Colleen’s Dollhouse” is a new scare zone where dolls come to life as the sun sets. With their eyes glinting disturbingly and their painted smiles twisted into grimaces of hunger, these porcelain figures lurk in the shadows, bringing childhood nightmares to life.
Returning Frightful Favorites
Returning this year are frightful fan favorites like “Bunny Bradley’s Ice Cream Shoppe,” “Milton Creek Manor,” “The Swamp at Blackwater Bayou,” “Zombie Horde,” “Dis-Assembly Line,” and “Atlantis—The Cursed Chasm.” The park’s pathways aren’t safe either, as guests will encounter creepy creatures in eight different scare zones. Familiar terror-tories such as “Ripper Row,” “Vampire Point,” “SINdustry District,” and “Nightmare Midway” return to haunt visitors, joined by the all-new “Colleen’s Dollhouse.”
The sinister show “Monster Stomp” also returns, featuring a live band, singers, and dancers in a devilish performance that will wrap guests up in murderous mischief.
Not-So-Scary Halloween Fun
For those who prefer less frights, SeaWorld offers “Spooktacular,” a family-friendly event that begins on September 12. The daytime festivities include a corn maze, “Spookley the Square Pumpkin,” in-park trick-or-treating, and the “Sesame Street Halloween Parade.” Additionally, “Día de los Muertos” celebrations will be held during both daytime and nighttime hours, featuring sugar skull characters, traditional music, and an altar to honor loved ones.
Parents seeking a break can enroll their children in “Spook-Camp-ular,” where campers, ages six to twelve, can enjoy a night of fun, crafts, and animal encounters while avoiding the scarier zones of the park. Campers will be provided with dinner and a snack, and registration is required at SeaWorld Spook-Camp-ular.
For those wanting to explore Howl-O-Scream without the startles, the “No Boo Necklace” offers a colorful, light-up option that signals scare performers to steer clear. Interactive necklaces that react to the environment by flashing and emitting an eerie mist are also available for an added layer of fun.
