SCUCISD unanimously approves pay increase for district employees for 2022/2023 school year

Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD Board Trustees have unanimously approved their compensation package on June 21,2022 for the upcoming 22/23 school year. This benefits teachers and staff at the district including nurses, paraprofessionals, clerial staff and auxiliary staff that will get a 2.5% increase in pay from the midpoint of each pay grade.

New teachers will get a starting salary that begins at $53,200

New bus drivers will get $17.50 an hour

Administrative personnel that will receive a 1.5% pay increase from the midpoint.

As for general pay increase, it was said that many of the district’s lowest paid staff will get ten to twenty percent above their current salary resulting from a district market study that was performed by the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB). The total of adjustments of the paraprofessionals and auxiliary staff exceed $900,000

The board trustees have also approved a $500 retention supplement (minus applicable state and federal withholdings) to be paid on January 27, 2023 for all employees who have met the eligibility requirements.

All of the pay increases for the upcoming school year will be based on the midpoint for each pay grade.
