School districts announce closures for Tuesday, 1/16/18

The National Weather Service is issuing a winter storm warning starting at midnight. With the conditions perfect for the roads to be dangerous and make it perfect for potential black ice. Several area school districts have already made the call to close schools. We will update this page as soon as more districts make their announcements.

Due to a winter storm warning, Northside ISD schools and offices will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 16. High school semester exams scheduled for tomorrow have been postponed until Monday, Jan. 22.

After monitoring the forecasts for tomorrow NEISD will cancel school on Tuesday Jan. 16 to ensure the safety of students and all staff. The regularly scheduled board meeting will also be canceled.

South San Antonio ISD will be closed tomorrow, Tues. January 16 because of a winter storm event. This means the main district office and all campuses will be closed, as well as, all extra-curricular activities canceled.
