School district gets high-tech busses

The San Antonio Independent School District will be launching the “Zonar Z-Pass” system for students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.
Students simply swipe a badge identifier while boarding which tracks the student when they get on and get off of the bus, Cesar Flores explains.
Parents will get a notification when they use the app to see when their child gets on and off of the bus as well as the exact location.
This system will cut down the count of children who get off at the wrong stop and also stop calls from parents to see where their kids are.
Bus drivers still have to take manual count of the attendance on the bus, but the new system makes sure that the number is accurate.
Later on, more grade levels will be added using the new technology.
