In a newsletter, New Braunfels waterpark Schlitterbahn is preparing to reopen their properties in mid-June. On Tuesday, Governor Greg Abbott gave the clearance for water parks across the state of Texas to reopen with 25% capacity.
Schlitterbahn will be operating with enhanced safety measures and operational changes in their parks.
They will be postponing their popular annual “American Heroes Week” until further notice. They’re revamping areas such as food and beverage locations. Remodeling the front entrance for a safer, more streamlined entry. Enhancing the restrooms at various locations. Adding new outdoor furniture for enhanced “chill out” areas.
The waterpark will be extending the 2020 season pass through the 2021 season.
“The safety of our guests and associates has always been and will always be our top priority. We want to assure you that when we do open, Schlitterbahn will continue to be a safe and fun environment for all.” said the press release.ย “Our team is 100% committed to this promise. And we are working alongside industry experts and government officials toward this shared goal.ย We will keep you updated as we move forward; in the meantime, we thank you for your loyalty and continued support.”
