SAPOA Nonprofit Partners With disABILITYsa for Fiesta Especial Celebration


San Antonio, TX – Blue Cares, the community outreach program of the San Antonio Police Officers’ Association (SAPOA), is joining forces with disABILITYsa for the Fiesta Especial Celebration Day on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at the Alamodome. Fiesta Especial, an official Fiesta® San Antonio event, is tailored for individuals of all ages with physical, cognitive, and developmental differences, along with their families and friends. The festivities include a Royal Court, a one-day carnival, the Inclusion 5K, and a Parade.

Placing community outreach and relationship building as a top priority, SAPOA will have local officers actively volunteering onsite to support the event’s operations. This collaborative effort aims to create an inclusive and joyous experience for individuals of all abilities, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie.

“We are excited to partner with disABILITYsa for the Fiesta Especial Celebration Day,” said a representative from Blue Cares. “Our officers are committed to serving and supporting all members of our community, and events like this allow us to connect with individuals of all abilities and their families in a meaningful way.”

The Fiesta Especial Celebration Day will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Alamodome Parking Lot C, located at 100 Montana St, 78203.
