SAPD Helicopter Unit Honors Fallen Detective Benjamin Marconi with Special Dedication

Today, the San Antonio Police Department’s (SAPD) helicopter unit, known as EAGLE, paid tribute to fallen Detective Benjamin Marconi by dedicating one of their helicopters in his honor. In a solemn ceremony, the unit continued its tradition of memorializing fallen officers by placing the initials and last three numbers of Detective Marconi’s badge onto the tail of the helicopter.

Detective Marconi, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty, was remembered not only for his service and dedication to the San Antonio community but also for the lasting impact he left on his fellow officers and citizens. The helicopter tail now bears the initials “B.M.” and the final three digits of his badge number, ensuring that his legacy remains high in the skies of San Antonio as EAGLE continues its vigilant patrols.
