San Antonio’s first EDM drive-in will take place in June

San Antonio first Electronic Dance Music (EDM) will be taking place at the Freeman Coliseum parking lot 1 according to a press release Friday. The two-day event will happen on June 26th and 27th starting at 7 p.m till midnight.
Electric-Fiesta, will be hosting the socially distant show on a full production stage while attendees rave in their vehicles spaced out.
The maximum number of vehicles that will be allowed in is between 300 to 350. When purchasing tickets, you’ll be able to pick the parking spot. There will be premium areas towards the front and preferred area near the center of the show. You’ll choose your squad, meaning the amount of people attending the show within the same vehicle.
The artists performing will be announced at a later date. The planners have assured they collaborated with the city of San Antonio and Bexar County officials to promote safety for the event. There will be some rules that go with the show. No face cover, no entry. All participants must remain inside the vehicle unless going to the restroom. Can sit inside the bed of truck or open hatch of the SUV to watch. Everyone in your squad must remain in your squad up to six. Those who aren’t socially distancing will be asked to leave. The speed limit is 5 MPH, all car headlights must be turned off but you can have the radio up as loud as you can as the show is broadcasted via FM tuner.
Part of the proceeds will benefit Aeuda, The Rey Feo Scholarship Foundation and The Whet Foundation.
