SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS โ€” San Antonio Zoo is teaming up with H-E-B to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week with a special offer honoring educators across the state.

From May 4 through May 10, 2026, Texas teachers can enjoy free standard admission to the zoo as a token of appreciation for their impact on future generations. In addition to complimentary entry, educators will also receive 50% off Any Day tickets for up to four guests visiting on the same day.

As an added perk, the first 500 teachers who present a valid school ID at Guest Services will receive a free handheld fan, courtesy of H-E-B, while supplies last.

To qualify, participants must be active teachers within the state of Texas, including those working in accredited pre-K through 12th grade public, private, parochial schools, or homeschooling environments. Verification requires a valid driverโ€™s license along with one of the following: a teacher certification or a school-issued photo ID or badge. Tickets must be secured online, and discounted guest tickets must be used on the same day as the teacherโ€™s visit.

The weeklong celebration offers educators a chance to unwind, explore wildlife, and enjoy a well-deserved break in one of San Antonioโ€™s most beloved attractions.
