San Antonio Zoo Lights Up Green to Honor Texas Flood Victims and Camp Mystic Tragedy

BEXAR COUNTY, TX – In a heartfelt tribute to the lives lost, those still missing, and all affected by the devastating floods in Texas, the San Antonio Zoo has announced it will illuminate the Zoo Garage in green for the remainder of July. The glowing display aims to serve as a beacon of remembrance and solidarity for the victims—particularly those impacted by the tragic flooding at Camp Mystic in the Texas Hill Country.

Across the Lone Star state, green has emerged as a powerful symbol of remembrance. It is the signature color of Camp Mystic, and it has now become a sign of unity and support in the wake of the disaster. Communities in North Texas, including Highland Park, have joined the movement, tying green ribbons around trees, homes, and school campuses to honor those affected.
