San Antonio still in ‘Stage 2’ water restrictions according to EAA

With the substantial rainfall that occurred during the month of September, the San Antonio Water System is still in ‘Stage 2’ watering restrictions.

According to a memo from the Edwards Aquifer Authority (EAA) that they had confirmed the aquifer levels at the J-17 well was at 667.1 feet and increasing, however they place restrictions on their permit holders, San Antonio Water System being one of their largest holders.

With ‘Stage 2’ residents must water with their sprinkler or irrigation systems on their designated day from 7a – 11a or 7p – 11p. Handheld watering is permitted at anytime.

M – 0 or 1

T – 2 or 3

W – 4 or 5

Th – 6 or 7

F – 8 or 9

No watering on weekends. Also, any areas without street address such as medians and neighborhood entries must water on Wednesday.

People who wash their vehicle should only do it once per week on Saturday or Sunday as long as there is no water waste. Hence watering vehicle on lawn or non-concrete surface.
