San Antonio Spurs welcome back fans inside the AT&T Center

The San Antonio Spurs announced that they are letting a limited amount of fans inside the AT&T Center beginning Friday, March 12th. This marks the first time that fans will be allowed since March 10, 2020.
“We are thrilled to welcome our fans back to the AT&T Center,” said RC Buford, Spurs Sports & Entertainment CEO. “We’ve always said we have the best fans in the NBA and playing in an empty arena has reminded us all of how fortunate we are to enjoy the amazing support we receive from our fans. We can’t wait to see, hear and engage with our fans again starting March 12.”
Despite the recent news from Governor Greg Abbott mandating that facial masks are no longer required, the San Antonio Spurs will still be going by their policy requiring all fans mask up while inside the arena.
“For the last 10 months our team has been laser focused on implementing heightened health and safety measures, concentrating on three key areas, people, surfaces and air,” said AT&T Center General Manager Casey Heverling. “The entire organization has gone above and beyond to make sure that the AT&T Center is a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone in attendance.”
An attendance cap of 3,200 will help maintain social distancing inside the arena. There will be a number of things different inside the arena this year that fans will notice.
They will have to complete a mobile health screening through the Clear app.
Fans will be subject to a temperature check at the door.
Bags that are 6″ x 8″ with a maximum of one compartment will be allowed inside and subject for search upon entry. Those with larger bags or bags that exceed the storage capacity will have to check it in onsite for a small fee.
Fans will have cashless and touchless experiences around the arena upon entering the arena to food and beverage stations via the Spurs Pay app and items can be picked up at one of the 22 express stations throughout the arena.
Fans will get to enjoy AT&T 5G and WiFi 6 service inside.
