SAN ANTONIO (June 24, 2025) – The San Antonio Spurs have unveiled a new multi-year jersey patch partnership with Ledger, a global leader in digital asset security, in a groundbreaking move that reflects the franchise’s international aspirations and commitment to innovation. This alliance marks a pivotal moment in the Spurs’ continued evolution from a celebrated legacy team into a forward-looking global brand.
“This moment cements a decades-long history of international collaboration and growth led by the Spurs organization, as the game of basketball has grown to touch every culture and continent,” said RC Buford, CEO of Spurs Sports & Entertainment. “Ledger has led the way in the digital asset space, having helped to build the industry from the ground up. With this international collaboration, we are proud to stand alongside them as we connect the next generation of fans and leaders around the world.”
With over 7.5 million devices sold across 165 countries and more than 20% of the world’s crypto secured through its technology, Ledger is an industry-defining name in digital asset protection. The company also operates Ledger Academy, a leading educational platform designed to demystify the world of crypto and blockchain technology.
Pascal Gauthier, Chairman and CEO of Ledger, emphasized the shared values that brought the two organizations together.
“When I met RC and the Spurs team, it was clear we had total alignment in values and vision for the future,” said Gauthier. “The U.S. is Ledger’s top market globally, and aligning ourselves with an historic U.S. sports team, which boasts a deep French connection past and present, will help us onboard the next generation of sovereign individuals.”
The Ledger-branded jerseys will make their first appearance at the 2025 NBA Draft on June 25, where the Spurs hold the No. 2 and No. 14 overall picks. The patch will also be featured during the NBA California Classic in San Francisco on July 5 and will be worn by players from both the San Antonio Spurs and their G League affiliate, the Austin Spurs. Fan merchandise, practice gear, and shooting shirts will also carry the Ledger logo.
The partnership extends beyond branding into meaningful community engagement. Ledger will support the Spurs’ Play Paris initiative—an ongoing court renovation program launched earlier this year at the 2025 NBA Paris Games. The company will also present the Spurs Tech & Basketball Camp, designed to introduce youth ages 10-14 to the intersection of sports and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math).
Additionally, Ledger will become the presenting partner of both the Spurs Jr. NBA program and the Spurs Sports Academy fundamentals camps, reinforcing a shared mission of empowering the next generation through education and innovation.
The announcement builds upon the Spurs’ long-standing legacy of international impact. Since joining the NBA in 1976, the team has featured players from 30 countries, including seven from France, reflecting a sustained commitment to global growth and collaboration.
The Spurs worked with global sports and entertainment agency Elevate to secure the strategic partnership.
With this bold step into the digital future, the Spurs and Ledger are not just sharing a jersey patch—they’re making a statement about where sports, technology, and global community intersect.
