San Antonio restaurants offer “To-Go for Good” meals benefitting the food bank

San Antonio Food Bank April 2020

Local San Antonio restaurants are cooking up special meals for a campaign called “To-Go for Good”. Restaurants that sell a certain type of meal for 2 to 4 people will give back to the San Antonio Food Bank. This is a win-win for the community and struggling businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Click here for the list of participating restaurants.

Certificates for the mail will be emailed to the buyer along with directions on how to redeem. The certificates can only be redeemed between May 4 – 9. You can also make a purchase and give a meal as a gift. The purchase of a meal for two provides a $200 tax-deductible donation and meals for four provides a $400 tax deductible donation.

The campaign ends at midnight on Thursday, April 30.

During this difficult time, the San Antonio Food Bank is feeding about 120,000 people a week and that number is expected to grow with a projection of 180,000 a week during the pandemic.

The San Antonio Food Bank also welcomes a donation directly at their website.
