San Antonio Restaurant Embers Wood Fire Grill Issues Call for Community Support Amid Sudden Drop in Sales

SAN ANTONIO โ€” Embers Wood Fire Grill & Bar, a locally owned restaurant that has served the I-10 and Wurzbach area for the past decade, is asking the community for support after experiencing a significant decline in business.

For 10 years, Embers has been known for its wood-fired dishes, neighborhood hospitality, and loyal staffโ€”many of whom have been with the restaurant since its opening. But recent access changes have dealt an unexpected blow to the business.

According to the owners, access from Wurzbach Road was abruptly blocked due to changes made by a neighboring hotel, cutting off a major entry point for customers. Since then, sales have dropped sharply, creating financial stress for the restaurant and its longtime employees during what is typically one of the busiest and most festive seasons of the year.

In a message to the community, Embers thanked San Antonians for a decade of support and asked residents to consider stopping by as a way to help the restaurant recover.

โ€œSan Antonio, we need your support,โ€ the message reads. โ€œOur team membersโ€”some of whom have been with us since day oneโ€”are feeling the effects of the sudden drop in sales. If you havenโ€™t visited in a while, now is the time. Let us show you the wood-fired flavors, warm service, and community spirit that Embers was built on.โ€

The restaurant also provided updated directions due to the access change.
Customers can reach Embers by continuing westbound on Wurzbach from I-10, turning right on Bluemel Road at the Dutch Bros, then right again onto Colonial Square. Those traveling eastbound from Fredericksburg Road should turn left onto Bluemel and then right onto Colonial Square.

The owners say they remain hopeful that with community support, the restaurant can regain its footing and ensure a brighter holiday season for the staff.

โ€œWeโ€™re grateful for every one of you,โ€ the Embers family said.
