San Antonio Residents Can Dump Bulky Waste for Free at Upcoming Landfill Day

Have large items piling up around the house or garage? This Saturday, San Antonio residents have a golden opportunity to clear the clutter — for free.
Free Landfill Day is set for Saturday, April 12 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., giving Solid Waste Management customers the chance to dispose of bulky items at no cost. The event is hosted at two participating landfill sites:

Republic Services Landfill: 7000 IH 10 E, San Antonio, TX 78219

Waste Management Landfill: 8611 Covel Road, San Antonio, TX 78252
To participate, residents must bring the following:

✅ A valid photo ID

✅ A recent CPS Energy bill (to verify they are City of San Antonio Solid Waste customers)

✅ All loads must be properly tarped or secured
Whether you’re getting rid of old furniture, large appliances, or other bulky waste, this is a simple, efficient way to clean up while keeping the city beautiful and waste-free.
City officials urge participants to arrive early, as lines are expected to form quickly due to high turnout.
