SELMA, TX – The Light Park is ushering in the holiday spirit with a community-centered celebration that brings together festive lights, family fun, and generosity. Beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, December 3, the park will host its first-ever Mascot Spirit Night, launching a multi-day toy drive benefiting Christus Children’s Hospital.

A Night of Community Cheer
Mascot Spirit Night will feature some of San Antonio’s most recognizable characters, each bringing holiday excitement to families as they arrive. Rowdy the Roadrunner from UTSA, Ballapeño from the San Antonio Missions, and The Light Park’s own DJ Polar Ice will greet guests from their vehicles, sharing festive energy and creating memorable moments for visitors of all ages.
Supporting Christus Children’s Hospital
The toy drive encourages families to donate unwrapped toys in original packaging, specifically tailored toward school-age children and teen patients who will be spending their holidays in the hospital. The initiative provides the opportunity for San Antonio families to give back while enjoying The Light Park’s illuminated holiday attraction.
To show appreciation for the community’s generosity, each guest who donates a toy will receive a complimentary Holiday Bundle, which includes movie theater popcorn, two electric lemonades, and two pairs of magic glasses to enhance the light show experience.

The Light Park’s Selma location features millions of synchronized holiday lights paired with a festive soundtrack, offering a dazzling backdrop for families participating in the toy drive.
