Texas has officially entered the prestigious MICHELIN Guide with its first-ever state-wide selection, and the San Antonio-Seguin area proudly shines with several notable inclusions. San Antonio’s Mixtli earned a MICHELIN Star, recognized for its refined, regionally inspired Mexican cuisine by Chefs Diego Galicia and Rico Torres. Known for their creative tasting menus that highlight Mexico’s culinary diversity, Mixtli’s accolade puts San Antonio firmly on the map as a premier dining destination. In addition, Mixtli’s team members, Hailey Pruitt and Lauren Beckman, were awarded the MICHELIN Outstanding Service Award, further distinguishing the restaurant’s dedication to exceptional service.

The MICHELIN Guide also recognized several San Antonio establishments with Bib Gourmand status, an honor for exceptional food at a great value. This year’s San Antonio honorees include Cullum’s Attaboy, The Jerk Shack, Ladino, and Burnt Bean Co. in Seguin, each celebrated for quality and accessible dining. They were joined by recommended San Antonio restaurants Barbecue Station, Garcia’s Mexican Food, Leche De Tigre, Little Em’s Oyster Bar, Nicosi, Signature Restaurant, and 2M Smokehouse, all of which showcase the city’s vibrant and diverse culinary scene.

With 15 one-MICHELIN-Star restaurants, 45 Bib Gourmand honorees, and 57 additional recommended venues, the Texas Guide features 117 eateries, spanning 26 different cuisines. The debut of the MICHELIN Guide Texas brings fresh recognition to local talent, flavor, and culture, and as MICHELIN Director Gwendal Poullennec shared, it captures Texas’s unique spirit in both traditional and innovative flavors.
