San Antonio International Airport gets the green light for major improvements
The City of San Antonio just made a huge investment that could forever change our city. The growth will be set to hold our airport on track as a global destination over the next 20 years.
On Thursday, November 18, 2021 the City Council unanimously approved the San Antonio International Airport’s plan of the development of the new terminal “C” as well as ground access and the supporting infrastructure.
This will call for more gates, more concession stands, a unified screening area for passengers, and a walkway to connect all of the terminals together.
There are even plans on extending the runway to handle in and outbound international flights with larger aircraft.
Today, the SAIA has 20 gates that welcome over 10 million passengers every year. That number is expected to triple or quadruple making The Alamo City more of a worldwide destination for both business and pleasure.
