San Antonio Hyatt Hotels and Hotel & Lodging Association Collaborate to Spotlight Diversity and Inclusion in Local Business

Embracing the spirit of diversity, equity, and inclusion, Hyatt Regency San Antonio Riverwalk and Grand Hyatt San Antonio River Walk have joined forces with the San Antonio Hotel & Lodging Association to present the 2024 Change Starts Here minority-owned business expo. This collaborative event not only pays tribute to Black History Month but also serves as a platform to showcase the products and services of an array of minority-owned businesses, craftsmen, and artisans.
Philip Stamm, Area Vice President and General Manager for Grand Hyatt San Antonio River Walk and Hyatt Regency San Antonio Riverwalk, expressed the hotels’ commitment to diversity. “Our Hyatt team is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion and is privileged to partner with several minority-owned businesses here in San Antonio,” said Stamm. “We are thrilled to host the expo and encourage our community to join us in supporting minority-owned businesses locally and nationwide.”
Scheduled for Thursday, February 29, 2024, the Change Starts Here minority-owned business expo will unfold from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. within the elegant confines of Grand Hyatt San Antonio River Walk’s ballroom.
The expo promises an eclectic mix of vendors, ranging from Kai-Simone Winery, a family-owned winery in nearby Spring Branch, to Uncle Nearest, a rapidly growing whiskey company. Other participants include B Michele, a professional branding agency; Symphony Chips, a family-owned gourmet chip company; Ms. Chocolatier, a local chocolatier offering handmade chocolates and candies; and the award-winning Plain Ole Salsa. Additional vendors such as Jeany’s Caribbean Elixirs, Pawsitively Sweet Bakery, Neatly Done, Avista Product, and Special Leaf will also be present. A full list of vendors can be found on the event’s website.
Hyatt’s commitment to fostering inclusive environments aligns with the company’s purpose of caring for people so they can be their best.
