SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Food Bank is bringing back one of its most impactful culinary initiatives this summer. San Antonio Food Bank Restaurant Weeks will return from June 6 through June 20, 2026, inviting the community to dine with purpose while supporting efforts to fight hunger across Southwest Texas.
The annual event partners with some of the city’s most popular restaurants to create a unique farm-to-table experience rooted in giving back. What makes Restaurant Weeks stand out is its direct connection to the Food Bank’s on-site agricultural program. Situated at its main campus, the organization cultivates 25 acres of fresh, seasonal produce that is distributed to families in need. During the two-week event, those same ingredients will be featured in signature dishes crafted by participating chefs.
Each restaurant will highlight a dish centered around the Food Bank’s harvest, offering diners a chance to experience locally grown ingredients while contributing to a meaningful cause. The initiative not only showcases San Antonio’s vibrant culinary scene but also highlights an innovative and sustainable approach to addressing food insecurity.
“Last year marked the launch of the San Antonio Food Bank Restaurant Weeks, and the response from our community was both powerful and inspiring,” said Eric Cooper, President and CEO of the San Antonio Food Bank. “We are bringing it back this year because the need is still there, and we will never stop working to make a difference. This campaign plays a vital role in supporting our Summer Meals for Kids initiative and helping ensure no child goes without a meal during the summer months.”
Proceeds from each featured dish will benefit the Food Bank’s Summer Meals for Kids campaign, which aims to close the 20 million meal gap children face during summer break. Each participating restaurant has committed to raising at least $300, with every dollar providing up to seven meals for children in need.
Guests can support the initiative by ordering featured dishes at participating locations, where $1 from each purchase will be donated directly to the Food Bank. Diners will also have the option to contribute additional funds through restaurant-specific QR codes available both in-store and online.
Restaurants already signed on include Supper at Hotel Emma, Pharm Table, The Jerk Shack, Sari-Sari Filipino Restaurant & Market, Naco Mexican Eatery, and others. A full list of participating locations and additional details can be found on the San Antonio Food Bank’s official website.
With a blend of local flavor and community impact, San Antonio Food Bank Restaurant Weeks continues to offer a powerful reminder that even a single meal can help change lives.
