A Time to Reflect and Celebrate

Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, were finally informed of their freedomโ€”more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Today, itโ€™s both a moment of remembrance and a celebration of Black culture, excellence, and progress.
