San Antonio Botanical Garden Unveils “Reflections of Nature” in Celebration of 45th Anniversary

Reflections in Nature

SAN ANTONIO, TX — The San Antonio Botanical Garden is set to mark its 45th anniversary with a breathtaking new exhibition, Reflections of Nature, opening to the public from March 8 through October 27, 2025. This landmark mural exhibition will feature 12 large-scale murals thoughtfully integrated across the Garden’s 38 acres, blending the vibrant artistry of regional muralists with the beauty of nature.

A Celebration of Art, Nature, and Culture

Inspired by the mural traditions of Diego Rivera and José Clemente Orozco, Reflections of Nature honors the diverse landscapes, flora, fauna, and communities of South Texas. The exhibit is a visual journey, bridging the rich history of muralism with the natural world. Visitors can look forward to:

  • Twelve expansive murals, strategically placed to complement the surrounding curated plant collections.
  • Works by esteemed artists including Kat Cadena, Christin Apodaca, Tabria Williford, Mitsumasa Overstreet, Lucas Aoki, Jennifer Khoshbin, Holly Veselka, Chris Sauter, Rudy Herrara, Kathy Sosa, Rhys Munro, and Steve Parker.
  • An immersive experience where cultural and environmental storytelling intertwines, inviting guests to explore the relationship between humanity and nature.

The San Antonio Botanical Garden partnered with the local interdisciplinary art firm, Bridge Projects, to manage this exhibition, ensuring a thoughtful and engaging curation of works that celebrate the natural world.

A Unique Outdoor Art Experience

This first-of-its-kind exhibition offers visitors an unparalleled opportunity to engage with public art in a tranquil outdoor setting. Each mural will serve as a reflection of the natural beauty and cultural diversity that define San Antonio and South Texas.
