SAN ANTONIO, Texas — The San Antonio Botanical Garden is making it easier for local residents to experience one of the city’s most beloved green spaces with the launch of its new “Neighbors in Nature” program, offering discounted admission for Bexar County residents on select days throughout the year.

The new initiative debuted during National Garden Week and provides Bexar County residents access to the 39-acre botanical destination for just $7, significantly lower than standard admission prices. Organizers say the recurring program is designed to encourage more residents to explore the Garden’s natural beauty, educational exhibits, and community programming.

Located at 555 Funston Place, the San Antonio Botanical Garden serves as a year-round destination where visitors can connect with nature through themed gardens, seasonal exhibits, educational experiences, and family-friendly events.

The launch coincides with a busy summer schedule at the Garden, including the popular Brews & Blooms Craft Beer Festival, a 21-and-up event featuring craft beer tastings, live entertainment, food vendors, and shopping opportunities throughout the grounds.

Visitors can also experience Otherwild, the immersive outdoor art installation by internationally acclaimed artist Patrick Shearn and his studio Poetic Kinetics. Due to popular demand, the exhibit has been extended through Aug. 8. The experience includes 10 Enchanted Trees spread throughout the Garden and Flora Borealis, a large-scale SkyNet installation suspended above the Lucile Halsell Conservatory.

Garden officials say the new Neighbors in Nature program aligns with the organization’s mission of enriching lives through plants and nature while making the attraction more accessible to local families.

The San Antonio Botanical Garden is open year-round, excluding Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. In addition to regular admission, the Garden offers discounted pricing for military members, children, and participants in the Museums for All program. Limited free parking is available on-site.
