San Antonio Botanical Garden and Memoir Agency to Launch “Happy Frights” and “Haunting Nights” This Fall
San Antonio, TX (July 31, 2024) – The San Antonio Botanical Garden (SABG) is teaming up with Orlando-based Memoir Agency to unveil two new Halloween-themed events: “Happy Frights” and “Haunting Nights.” These immersive experiences are set to take place on select dates from October 3 through November 2, 2024.
Memoir Agency, renowned for creating captivating events in botanical gardens across the United States, is bringing their unique brand of Halloween excitement to San Antonio. Both “Happy Frights” and “Haunting Nights” promise to transform the lush landscapes of the San Antonio Botanical Garden into thrilling, otherworldly realms.
“Happy Frights” is a family-friendly adventure that invites visitors to explore 11 immersive worlds filled with live actors and 8 trick-or-treat stations. Highlights include:
- A photo opportunity with a 12-foot tall jack-o-lantern
- A chance to meet a dancing bridge troll by the lake
- An encounter with giant dragons in the Dragon’s Den
- A journey through a neon-light maze
- A climb up a giant hay-pyramid
- A Día de los Muertos celebration featuring La Catrina and larger-than-life Alebrijes
As the sun sets, “Haunting Nights” takes over, offering a more thrilling experience designed for adults and guests aged 13 and up. Key attractions include:
- A lagoon filled with eerie swamp creatures
- A maze of surprises in the Neon Labyrinth
- A Día de los Muertos celebration with giant Alebrijes and La Catrina
- Living scarecrows in the Sunflower Field
- A 70-foot long pumpkin tunnel
- Pirate encounters and a flying Davy Jones in “The Barracks”
Both events will feature live acrobatic shows in the temple of the monkeys, as well as a variety of seasonal food and drink options, including frozen cocktails and other adult beverages. Custom merchandise will also be available for purchase.
