SAN ANTONIO, TX (March 8, 2025) – SeaWorld San Antonio officially opened its newest attraction, Rescue Jr., an immersive, interactive adventure zone aimed at inspiring and educating children about animal rescue and conservation efforts. The grand opening was celebrated today with local children participating in a ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside SeaWorld’s dedicated rescue team and some rescued terrestrial animals.

Designed specifically with young adventurers in mind, Rescue Jr. provides a variety of interactive rides and engaging play areas that spotlight SeaWorld’s longstanding mission of animal rescue, rehabilitation, and protection. Families can take advantage of special offerings, including the FREE Preschool Card, granting unlimited SeaWorld visits throughout 2025 for children ages three to five. Parents won’t miss out either—SeaWorld’s Spring Break Sale currently includes a SeaWorld Pass bundled with free admission to Aquatica for a limited time.

“Rescue Jr. is an exciting new chapter in SeaWorld’s commitment to inspiring the next generation of animal advocates,” said Byron Surrett, Chief Parks Operations Officer at SeaWorld. “Spring Break is the perfect opportunity for families to discover how Rescue Jr. combines fun and education, bringing our rescue efforts vividly to life.”

Immersive Attractions for Young Heroes

At Rescue Jr., children transform into park heroes through hands-on adventures:

  • Beach Rescue Racer: A 1,300-foot roller coaster where children 38 inches and taller speed along in jeep-shaped cars, simulating thrilling animal rescue missions.
  • Ocean Quest Express: An engaging train ride suitable for explorers as small as 36 inches, featuring interactive games of “I Spy” to discover hidden marine creatures.
  • Tide Pool Tumble: Kids 42 inches and taller can enjoy a seaside-themed spinning adventure that mimics the gentle ebb and flow of ocean tides.
  • Seabird Swing: Guests 36 inches and above can experience virtual parasailing, soaring high and observing seabirds from above.
  • Ocean Rescue Carousel: A charming carousel suitable for all ages, where guests 42 inches or taller can ride independently, taking in panoramic views of the exciting new area.

SeaWorld San Antonio will remain open daily for Spring Break through March 23, 2025. Families are encouraged to register quickly for the FREE Preschool Card at www.SeaWorldSanAntonio.com, as registration closes soon.
